COMMON REFERENCE LEVELS

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) has become a key reference document and valuable tool for European language teaching and learning. It promotes a communicative approach to language teaching and learning following action-oriented methods. These consider language users and language learners as social actors who have tasks to accomplish in a given set of circumstances and in a specific environment. The CEFR comprises six main levels from breakthrough to Mastery of language and culture. It sets a more realistic and precise progress than the distinction between beginner, intermediate and advanced.

CEFR keywords used in our training courses:

flexibility, transparency of qualifications, plurilingualism, lifelong learning.

Our Russian language and culture courses have been designed according to the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). We also offer courses for complete beginners A0 (not included in the CEFR).
