Estonia was unfamiliar territory. Ambra, a philosophy graduate and support teacher in a high school, admits she was slightly concerned about the weather and unsure what kind of city awaited her. Ambra describes Tallinn as \u201ca wonderful and truly international city.\u201d Sabrina noticed the contrast between modernity and heritage: \u201cIt\u2019s a very lively and technological city, but it still keeps its traditions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their reasons for coming were practical and personal. Ambra explains, \u201cIt\u2019s easier to speak in English all the time when you are abroad.\u201d Sabrina applied through the Erasmus programme because she enjoys learning languages and discovering new cultures. Tallinn appealed precisely because she did not know the country at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Learning beyond the classroom<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Multilingua, the lessons focused on active use of English and discussion. Ambra appreciated that students spoke English throughout the day and exchanged views on teaching methods. \u201cOur teachers have always been helpful and attentive to our needs,\u201d she says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sabrina found the lessons engaging and useful. Ambra enjoyed speaking with locals and discovering Estonian Christmas traditions while exploring the city.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Sabrina, a highlight was a visit to Keila Waterfall. A conversation with the guide developed into a discussion about the waterfall\u2019s history, the surrounding nature park and Estonian folklore, turning the excursion into a meaningful language practice moment.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>What surprised them about Estonia<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ambra was interested in how digital solutions are integrated into education and public services, alongside local traditions and customs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sabrina noticed the care for the environment, clean air and everyday independence. She was especially surprised to see how young children travel to and from school on their own, something she found striking from a teaching perspective.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Why language still matters<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ambra sees English as essential for following international developments in education and communicating across cultures. They value the opportunity to exchange ideas, experience a new country and learn in an immersive environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their week in Tallinn is best remembered through small moments \u2014 conversations, observations and discoveries \u2014 that shaped a focused and meaningful learning experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wish to study English in Estonia?
