A group of Spanish students spent an intensive week at Multilingua in Tallinn, Estonia, in February 2026, immersing themselves in Russian language learning. The program combined formal lessons with fun, non-formal activities, giving the students a unique and engaging experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Learning Russian Through Fun and Games<\/b><\/h3>\n

The students loved the interactive exercises in class. One highlight was the \u201cblogger and journalist\u201d project, which allowed them to practice Russian creatively. They also enjoyed playing \u201cCROCODILE\u201d (\u0418\u0413\u0420\u0410 \u0412 \u041a\u0420\u041e\u041a\u041e\u0414\u0418\u041b\u0410<\/span>) and other language games to learn new words. One student commented, <\/span>\u201cThe games were very creative and really fun!\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Staying with Host Families<\/b><\/h3>\n

Living with host families in Tallinn was unanimously the best part of the trip. Students practiced Russian daily in real-life situations, which helped them become more fluent and confident. As one student noted, <\/span>\u201cIt forces me to speak in Russian, and it makes me think in Russian.\u201d<\/span><\/i> Another added, <\/span>\u201cIt gives students key insights into how Russian is actually spoken. Much better than just saying a few words in the street.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

In their free time, students shared stories and activities with their host families, including attending concerts, going to karaoke, skiing in the park, visiting a spa center, and tasting local dishes. Favorite foods included pelmeni, borscht, blini, and caviar. One student said, <\/span>\u201cPelmeni, I just love it!\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
