Teacher of Norwegian<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m a Norwegian language teacher and language enthusiast who genuinely loves what they do. I started teaching Norwegian in 2021, when I moved to Oslo and spent four years living there. Now I divide my time between Estonia and Norway, which keeps me closely connected to both cultures and languages.<\/p>\n

My journey with languages and teaching began in 2017, when I worked at the Finnish School in Tallinn and at the language school Tarkus. From 2020 to 2024, I was the educational director at M\u00e5ltrosten kindergarten in Oslo \u2013 an experience that gave me fresh ideas and strengthened my confidence as a teacher.<\/div>\n

I studied pedagogy at Tallinn University, focusing on Scandinavian and Finnish languages. Languages are my true passion: I speak Estonian, English, Russian, Norwegian, and Finnish, and I can also manage in Swedish and Danish. Learning new languages gives me immense joy and always brightens my mood.<\/p>\n

In my lessons, I aim to create a warm and dynamic atmosphere \u2013 with plenty of communication, practical language use, and a bit of humor too. For me, it\u2019s important that learning feels inspiring and enjoyable, so that everyone can experience the language coming to life.<\/p>\n

In my free time, I love to travel and hike in the mountains. It gives me fresh energy and new ideas, which I am happy to bring to my classes.<\/p>\n

Teacher of Russian<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am a teacher of Russian as a foreign language and a language enthusiast who enjoys creating a practical, supportive and inspiring learning environment for my students. I have taught Russian to adult learners at various levels and adapt the course content and teaching methods to suit the learners\u2019 needs, goals and language proficiency.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My teaching career began at the Finnish School in Tallinn, where I taught Russian as a foreign language. Since then, I have taught Russian to adults both one-to-one and in groups, including at A1\u2013A2 and B1 levels. I have also run intensive courses and created teaching materials for various learning objectives \u2013 worksheets, language games, visual aids, conversation exercises, and practical communication tasks.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I believe it is important for language learning to be as practical and communication-based as possible. For this reason, I use a variety of active learning methods, digital tools, and visual materials in my lessons, and I place great emphasis on ensuring that learners can immediately apply what they have learnt in real-life situations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As an adult educator, I:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • prepare the training content and select teaching methods based on learning outcomes and previous feedback; compile and adapt learning materials in line with the curriculum\/training programme;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • take learners\u2019 needs into account, adapt the stages of learning or working methods; provide learners with feedback;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • gather ongoing feedback from learners about the learning process;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • undertake professional development, update the content and methods of teaching, and modernise them where necessary;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • use relevant information and communication technology (ICT) tools (e.g. interactive smartboards, online platforms such as Zoom and\/or Teams, ML information system, cloud services such as Google Drive and\/or OneDrive, e-learning platforms, etc.) in the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of the teaching and learning process, as well as for supporting my own professional development; am able to create, use and share web-based materials;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • create language learning materials aimed at adult learners, including worksheets, exercises, language games, visual materials, conversation tasks and learning activities for teaching Russian as a foreign language and Norwegian.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              I am constantly updating my knowledge and teaching skills. In the summer of 2026, as part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme, I took part in the \u2018Russian as a Foreign Language\u2019 summer academy in Warsaw, where I learnt about new teaching methods, digital tools, and modern language learning opportunities.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

              What I enjoy most about teaching is the creativity involved and the opportunity to grow alongside each learner. I believe that good language learning is not just about studying grammar and vocabulary, but also about having the courage to communicate, make mistakes, try again and discover that you can truly express your thoughts in a foreign language.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
