I acquired the profession of a special education teacher as well as of English language teacher at the University of Tartu. I have worked in both specialties in a number of educational institutions. In addition to Multilingua, I also work as a special education teacher and teacher in English at a school for children with special needs and as a speech therapist in a children&#8217;s club.<\/p>\n<p>I started adult education in 2003, and I enjoy this work very much. I have given group and individual lessons in the language school and in different companies. I have taught ordinary language, business language, and specialty language. It&#8217;s exciting to communicate with people from different disciplines and thereby expand horizons.<\/p>\n<p>I like the saying that while we teach others, we always learn ourselves. In a language class, I am rather a partner than the know-it-all teacher for the learners. It&#8217;s fun to see how a study group made up of people from different backgrounds starts to work, and function together stops being ashamed to make mistakes and begins to come to the assistance of co-learners when mistakes are made. Playful exercises and humor help to release tension. I think that my education and experience as a special education teacher are also beneficial in the language school. We all have our own smaller or larger special needs. I follow\u00a0posts and\u00a0read articles and blogs.\u00a0An\u00a0article has been published about one of my Erasmus+ learning mobility experiences.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As part of\u00a0the international training course \u201cHow to integrate coaching into teaching?&#8221;, I co-conducted a workshop\u00a0together with a colleague on finding intrinsic motivation and\u00a0setting goals.\u00a0I have also shared\u00a0the\u00a0experiences\u00a0and knowledge\u00a0gained from the Erasmus+\u00a0training\u00a0\u201cCreativity and Motivation in the classroom with Teacher Language Development\u201d\u00a0held in Malta\u00a0with my colleagues.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I have\u00a0participated\u00a0in the following Erasmus+ learning mobility projects:\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">2024,\u00a0Barcelona\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0&#8220;Life Coaching for Teachers: Happy Teachers for Better Students&#8221;.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">2023,\u00a0Potsdam\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0&#8220;Train the Intercultural Trainer.&#8221;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">2021,\u00a0Malta\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0&#8220;Creativity and Motivation methodology course with language\u00a0development.&#8221;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I have\u00a0created learning materials, such as language learning games\u00a0in the\u00a0Wordwall\u00a0environment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maybe I work as a teacher because I myself have always liked to learn.
