WRITTEN TRANSLATION

We perform written translation and provide text editor’s service and proofreading in nearly 100 different language combinations. We cooperate with more than 50 experienced translators to quickly and flexibly find the right solution for you in a wide range of thematic areas.

Calculating the translation volume

The translation volume is calculated on standard pages, with the 1-page length being 1800 characters with spaces. The length of a standard page may vary from office to office and from country to country and is negotiable. In the EU countries, for example, the standard page length is 1600 characters, and in some cases, words are calculated instead. Depending on the size of the font and the density of the rows, several standard pages can fit on one A4 page. In one way or another, the actual basis for calculating the price is the time required for translation: the customer purchases the time of a translator with the appropriate education and experience. The number of characters is a unit conversion of that time, which is easy to determine and monitor both by the translator and the customer.

The speed of translation

The usual speed of translation is considered to be 5 standard pages per day, to which, if necessary, will be added 1 day for editing the text. A high-quality translation requires reading the text, understanding and looking up the terminology, then translating and repeated reviewing for correcting possible language errors and slips.

Regular translation

Regular translation is an accurate translation in terms of grammar and meaning, that satisfies most one-to-one communication situations between individuals and companies. The narrow professional vocabulary is coordinated with the customer or translated according to the best knowledge of the translator.

Technical translation

We translate texts in various technical fields – manuals, user manuals, maintenance manuals, etc. Technical translation requires precise terminology and unambiguous comprehension of the text. We use a translator well familiar with the field or a supplementary specialist editing. Close cooperation with the customer is also essential for achieving the best result.

Legal translation

Legal texts include contracts and agreements, court documents, reports, powers of attorney, certificates, laws, etc. These texts are translated only by professional translators who are well versed in legal nuances. Confidentiality is included by default with all translations ordered from us, the same applies for legal translation. If necessary, we are always ready to sign an additional confidentiality agreement so that your business secrets are securely protected.

Advertising text translation

Rewriting the existing text to the target language. The aim is to transfer the meaning of the original text in a form comprehensible to the target audience, with possible distinctive undercurrents. Only translators who speak the target language as a native language are used for the translation of advertising texts.

Back translation

The back translation is most often used for advertising texts. In this case, the target language text is translated back into the original language to make sure the translation is correct.

Design service

For more complex files to be submitted for translation, a later design service may also be required to make the target language file look like the one in the original language. We offer our customers the design services provided alongside with the translation and, on request, we will also issue a print file.

Transcription

We can also offer our customers written text taken from audio or video files, or transcription. This is both as a separate service and for later translation.
