Discover Japanese language and culture at the Multilingua summer camp! We invite children aged 10-14 to the Japanese language summer camp, where language learning takes place under the guidance of our friendly and creative teacher Liivia Pärnpuu.

Learning a new language broadens children’s horizons and gives them the confidence to communicate in different languages. The Japanese language summer camp offers a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the Japanese language in a practical and natural way.
WHAT IS DONE IN THE CAMP?
Japanese is learned through fun tasks, crafts, dance activities, and various games. In addition, several places in central and old Tallinn are visited in the afternoons so that children can start using the language they are learning in practice.
WHAT? Become friends with the Japanese language. Japanese is becoming increasingly popular, and learning it broadens your horizons and provides knowledge of Japanese culture. In Japanese, they say, “Whatever we do, we give our best in it.” Every new language complements and enriches communication opportunities. Our summer camp offers children a supportive and motivating learning environment where they can gain confidence in the language and enjoy fun and natural communication.

HOW? We use various fun games, group work, and interesting exercises to acquire basic vocabulary. Experience shows that even with a limited vocabulary, it is possible to talk to each other and understand one another. By supporting children’s natural desire to communicate and linking it with playful activities, we develop their vocabulary and introduce grammar in a way that does not feel like learning.
WHY? For children up to 14 years old, such a language camp creates a good foundation for further language learning and helps foster a positive attitude towards foreign languages. Children acquire language skills in a natural and motivating environment.
FOR WHOM? The course is intended for 10-14 year olds who have not previously studied Japanese. Each group has 15-18 children.
WHO teaches? The camp is run by an enthusiastic teacher Liivia Pärnpuu.
WHERE? The camp starts and ends at the Multilingua Language Center in the center of Tallinn at Roosikrantsi 11. In addition, time will be spent outdoors, visiting for example Tallinn’s Old Town, the Japanese Garden, and parks.
