Principles of organization of studies at Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ
1. General provisions
1.1. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ (registry code: 10994088), is based on the existing adult education legislation and other related legislation and documents on the organization of continuing education.
1.2. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ is an adult education institution (economic activity report no. 188957; curriculum groups: foreign languages and cultures, personal development, interdisciplinary education curriculum group) that organizes foreign language training and other training.
1.3. Multilingua Language School conducts continuing language training for the preparation of Estonian language proficiency examination on the basis of the order of the Chancellor of the Ministry of Education and Research of 3.06.2016. No 1.1-3/16/101.
1.4. Teaching is carried out at premises located at Roosikrantsi 11, Tallinn, Harju County and other hourly rented premises suitable for conducting studies, in the training premises of the party commissioning the training or virtually.
1.5. Training is organized on the basis of a training calendar, which will be published on the Multilingua Language School and Competence Centre website at www.multilingua.ee
1.6. Courses take place throughout the year. For corporate and in-house training, training is conducted on the basis of an individual curriculum based on the needs of the company and learners.
1.7. Intensive language courses for the preparation of the Estonian language proficiency examinations level A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels take place in the form of both group study and private study.
1.8. The basis for calculating the length of the training is the academic hour (1 academic hour is 45 minutes).
1.9. The public administration language of Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ is Estonian.
1.10. The core document of the studies of curriculum that defines:
• the name of the curriculum;
• the curriculum group;
• learning outcomes;
• the conditions for starting studies provided that they are a prerequisite for achieving learning outcomes
• the total volume of studies, including the proportion of classroom, practical and independent work;
• the content of the study;
• a description of the study environment;
• a list of study materials, if study materials are provided for passing the curriculum;
• conditions for completion and documents issued;
• a description of the qualifications of the instructor, study or work experience.
2. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ continuing education forms
2.1. Group learning – a form of learning where learning takes place in a group of 6-8 people.
2.2. Minor group learning – a form of learning where learning takes place in a group of 3 to 5 learners.
2.3. Individual learning – a form of learning where 1 learner participates in the learning (one to one).
2.4. Pair learning – a form of learning where two learners engage the learning (two to one).
2.5. Courses for preparing for the Estonian language proficiency examination for A2, B1, B2, C1 levels. The goal of Estonian language continuing education course for the preparation of proficiency examination is the development of a non-Estonian speaker learner’s Estonian language skills for the proficiency examinations. At the Multilingua Language School, the requirement for completion of the Estonian-language curriculum is participation in at least 70% of all contact lessons and passing a final test or examination that include writing, listening, reading, and speaking according to the topics studied. Language proficiency levels are understood here and thereafter according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
2.6. Corporate and in-house training – Multilingua Language School and Competence Centre provides an in-house language training service, development programs as well as training for teams and managers.
2.7. Studies are conducted in contact, online and hybrid forms.
3. Collection and processing of personal data
3.1. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ collects the following information about the clients:
• name
• personal identification code
• contact phone number
• postal address
• email address
The personal identification code is required for issuing a certificate, as well as for declaring the learner’s training expenses in the Tax and Customs Board. Personal data is processed in accordance with § 6 of the Personal Data Protection Act.
4. Acceptance for training
4.1. The training must be registered for in advance. You can register at the Multilingua Language School and Competence Centre website at www.multilingua.ee or by email .
4.2. Those who registered online will receive an automatic registration confirmation on their email address that they entered the home page registration form when registering for the training.
4.3. The deadline for registration for the training is at least one business day before the start of the training.
4.4. E-mail confirmations will be sent to registered participants no later than 2 days before the start of the training, indicating the exact time and place of training, the duration of the training and the instructor’s name.
4.5. The client is entitled to receive additional information from Multilingua Language School and Competence Centre staff, whose contacts can be found on the Multilingua website at www.multilingua.ee.
5. Assembling a training group
5.1. The basis for the constitution of Multilingua Language School study groups is the level of learners’ language skills at the beginning of the course, as well as the preferences of the learners in terms of the times for the course classes. The basis for opening the Competence Centre group is the minimum number of participants confirmed on the website.
5.2. A list of participants in the training, or a study group list, will be prepared for the start of training.
5.3. Participants who have registered themselves in advance.
5.4. A training agreement is signed with a person who has commenced their studies at the Multilingua Language School and Competence Centre.
6. Training conditions, payment for training
6.1. A certificate of completion is issued to the participant who has achieved the training outcomes, has passed the assessment. A certificate of attendance is issued to a participant who has not participated in the assessment, who has not passed the evaluation or participated in less than 70% of all contact lessons.
6.2. To provide feedback about the training, the participants will complete an online feedback questionnaire at the end of the course.
6.3. Payment for training is based on the invoice issued during the first week of study. The invoice will be sent by e-mail. The invoice must be paid within the deadline indicated on the invoice.
6.4. It is possible to pay for training in instalments, the amount, and deadlines of which are set out in the training agreement.
6.5. In case of absence from studies or interruption of training, the paid fee shall not be refunded.
6.6. Tuition fees will not be refunded, and the learner will not be exempted from paying tuition fees except for exception and justified circumstances. A respective written application must be submitted to the management board of Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ.
6.7. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ does not issue certificates of completion or certificates of attendance where the tuition fee is not paid in full.
7. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ undertakes
7.1. To fill the language classes according to the language level of the learners.
7.2. To conduct courses in accordance with the curriculum of the course.
7.3 To keep records of the occurrence of classes.
7.4. To conduct the classes that did not take place due to the illness of the instructor or some other reason upon an advance agreement with clients and at the time suitable for them.
7.5. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ has the right not to refund a fee for students who dropped out of the learning.
7.6. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ has the right to not open the learning group if fewer people have registered than the size of the proposed group size.
7.7. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ has the right to change the volume and price of the learning if fewer persons have registered for the study group, informing the group members about changes.
7.8. Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ does not offset the cost of lessons not attended by the client.
8. The client undertakes
8.1. To participate in the learning for which he/she has registered or confirmed their participation in a form that can be reproduced in writing.
8.2. To pay the cost of the language course on time based on the invoice issued by the Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ.
8.3. The client has the right to pay for learning in parts, up to a maximum of three parts based on a specific payment schedule established by the Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ that is provided in the study contract concluded with the client https://multilingua.ee/koolituslepingu-tuuptingimused/
8.4. The client has the right to drop the language course at the latest after the second class; the later drop out does not release the client from paying tuition fee.
8.5. If clients continue their studies no later than in 6 months, they receive a 10% discount of the full price.
8.6. The client is required to inform the Multilingua of his or her absence from an individual training class at least 24 hours in advance. In the event of failure to comply with the obligation to notify, the client is required to pay the full price for the classes that did not take place.
8.7. The client has the right, when paying for the training as a private person, to apply for return of 22% of the training costs from the Tax and Customs Board when submitting the income tax return.
Principles of organization of studies of Multilingua Keelekeskus OÜ have been valid since 01.07.2015.
