Multilingua Keelekeskus has been teaching foreign languages in companies of 30 years. We have developed a large number of loyal customers, which are made up of various authorities, companies, and organizations. Today, language training in companies forms almost half of our study volume.
Every customer is very important to us, and therefore we always provide language training based on our customers’ needs and wishes. Because each customer and language learner is also different, our long-term experience, a wide range of foreign languages, the best of the best teachers, flexible forms of learning and modern teaching materials enable each of our partners and language learners to find the most suitable solutions for the successful acquisition of foreign languages.
Our experience shows that the success of the in-house language learning in the company is provided by a thorough preliminary work and collaboration with the contracting entity and Multilingua’s training manager throughout the training.
In designing of in-house language learning, we recommend that the customer:
- To map the staff who need professional language training. It is important that, after the end of the course, learners can apply their knowledge and learning right into their work.
- To test the staff which is about to commence training to find out the learners’ language proficiency levels. The result is best if a group is attended by learners of the same language level.
- To specify the goals. What is the learner supposed to know better, more or differently when he/she completes the course?
- Define learning outcomes. For example: can smoothly conduct meetings via Skype; compiles e-mails correctly; communicates smoothly with customers on the phone and so on.
- To coordinate the expectations of the employer and the learner to the language courses, these should overlap.
- If learning takes place during work, then if necessary, reorganize work so that students can participate in the language course.
- In the case of specialty language learning, to send to the trainer materials and sample documents, etc. before the course, which would contain the terminology of the company and its field of specialization.
The content and methodology of the proposed course will depend on all of the above.
