I graduated from Tallinn Pedagogical University in 1999 with a degree in German language and literature. I studied English as an additional specialty. In 2013 I graduated from the Estonian School of Diplomacy.
In 2006-2007 I worked as an interpreter in Estonian, Russian and German at the Põhja prefektuur (Police and Border Guard Board).
I participated in the Estonian-Russian dictionary compilation project of the Estonian Language Institute.
I have been teaching Russian as a foreign language in Multilingua language school since 2024. What I like and enjoy the most are the individual lessons, where I encourage the student to communicate in the language they are learning and I can adapt the teaching material to the student’s needs.
I also dedicate a lot of time to translating children’s and youth literature. More than 20 books that I have translated into Russian have been published by various publishing houses.
As an adult educator, I:
- prepare training content and select appropriate teaching methods based on the intended learning outcomes and previous feedback;
- create a physical, psychological, and social learning environment that supports language learning;
- continuously gather feedback and opinions from learners about the learning process;
- pay attention to my physical, mental, and emotional health, and maintain a healthy work-life balance;
- am able to search for information online using a critical approach to evaluating sources.
