I acquired the practical skills necessary for the work of a teacher at the University of Tallinn, Haapsalu College, and I learned English philology at the University of Tartu. I have improved myself thanks to the Erasmus + program in England, Ireland, and Sweden, and the year I lived in Australia positively contributed a lot. I became involved in adult education in the second year of the university. I have been working in Multilingua since 2014 and am still enjoying my work. I teach both open courses and in companies, as well as give individual lessons. In the case of language learning, the most important is the learner’s inner motivation and constant interest in the language to be acquired. I sincerely believe that if there is a will, there is a way.
As an adult educator, I:
- identify the needs and expectations of the study group; prepare and adapt learning materials based on the curriculum/training programme;
- support learners in identifying and achieving their individual goals and in aligning them with the overall objectives of the training; support the learners, notice and recognise changes in the learners’ development, and respond to situations in the learning process in a supportive manner;
- regularly collect feedback from the learners on the learning process; analyse the learning process, assess learners’ learning outcomes;
- analyse and evaluate my own activities in the learning process; recognise my strengths and development needs; pay attention to my physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and maintain a healthy work-life balance;
- use relevant information and communication technology (ICT) tools (e.g., interactive smartboards, online platforms such as Zoom and/or Teams, ML information system, cloud services such as Google Drive and/or OneDrive, e-learning platforms, etc.) in the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of the teaching and learning process, as well as for supporting my own professional development; am able to create, use, and share web-based learning materials.
I participate in the activities of the EPALE community.
I have taken part in the English language teachers’ roundtable discussions and foreign language teachers’ conferences.
I have conducted internal training sessions for Multilingua teachers on topics such as the use of AI in language lessons, the teachers’ code of ethics, etc.
I have participated in Erasmus+ learning mobility programmes, including: “There is an AI for that” in Florence, Italy, 2025; “Artificial Intelligence and e-cultural heritage” in Crete, Greece, 2024; a job-shadowing at EOI Madrid-Carabanchel, in Madrid, Spain, 2023; “Coaching in Teaching” in Nice, France, 2022; “Digital learning” in Lisbon, Portugal, 2021; “English methodology” in Norwich, UK, 2019, etc.
