I graduated from the Tallinn Pedagogical Institute in 1983 with a degree in Russian philology.
Between 1983 and 1991, I taught Russian at different schools in Tallinn.
In 1998 I graduated from Tallinn University with a degree in Estonian philology. I have supplemented my skills in various training courses.
I have been working at the Multilingua Language Center since 2017. I have gained new and exciting experiences while working in Multilingua. In my classes, I try to create a pleasant atmosphere and endeavor to make the learning process more interesting and fun. I use different active methods and diverse teaching materials in my classes.
I believe that the most essential element in a lesson is the cooperation between the teacher and the students, and only with good cooperation can students develop the desire and courage to speak a new language.
As an adult educator, I:
- identify the needs and expectations of the learning group; develop and/or adapt curricula; and create or modify learning materials based on the curriculum or training programme;
- create a physical, psychological, and social learning environment that supports language acquisition; provide feedback for learners; support learners, observe changes in their development, and respond to situations in the learning process in a supportive manner;
- analyse the learning process and assess learning outcomes;
- analyse, reflect on, and assess my own performance within the learning process, recognise my strengths and areas for development; pay attention to my physical, mental, and emotional health, and maintain a healthy work-life balance;
- am familiar with the possibilities of digital learning and can apply suitable methods and tools for delivering online learning in adult education.
