I have studied French and English philology at the University of Tartu, and I am currently studying at Tallinn University. In addition, I have studied Italian at the Universities For Foreigners in Perugia and Siena. I have completed a foreign language teacher internship in Finland.
I have been working as a teacher at Multilingua since 2024. I have had experience as a teacher of Estonian as a foreign language since 2017. Previously, I have also worked as a French teacher in a children’s hobby school.
As a teacher, I am guided by three ideas :
- It is interesting and fun for adults to learn, succeed, and gain new skills.
- Language learning is easier in a group, where everyone thinks along with you.
- Love the country and the culture you are learning about, look for beautiful places and inspiring people.
I enjoy my students’ skills and knowledge and their written work.
As an adult educator, I:
- compile and adapt study materials based on the curriculum/training plan;
- support the learners, notice changes in the learners’ development, and react to situations in the learning process in a supportive manner;
- analyse the learning process and assess learners’ learning outcomes;
- analyse and evaluate my own activities in the learning process; recognise my strengths and development needs;
- am able to search for information online using a critical approach to evaluating sources; am familiar with the possibilities of digital learning and can use appropriate methods for delivering digital learning in adult education.
I participate both in adult education training courses and courses aimed at language teachers, e.g., Äripäeva Akadeemia’s “Competences of an Adult Educator”, training sessions by ANDRAS and Tallinn University, as well as the in-house training courses at Multilingua.
