I come from Portugal, from a small town called Setúbal.
I studied art at Lisbon University of Arts. As I love foreign languages, I later qualified as a translator specializing in English Portuguese at university. The topic of my master’s thesis was how translation can be used in language learning (using Portuguese as a foreign language as an example). During that period, I also began giving one-to-one Portuguese lessons to foreign students.
I try to make my language lessons interesting, whilst ensuring that the atmosphere is relaxing. I tailor the learning process to suit each learner’s individual goals and language level. I introduce learners to the various dialects and accents of the Portuguese language and prepare them for conversations, whether these relate to travelling, living, working, or simply out of curiosity.
During lessons, I also compare the Portuguese language and culture with other languages and cultures.
I have been living in Estonia since 2023 and, in my spare time, I am learning Estonian.
