I am an English language teacher and I started teaching adults in the nineties having completed a course for adult teaching in Sweden. However, for a large part of my working life I have been working as an English language interpreter and translator, which has allowed me to cooperate with experts of various fields from several countries and explore numerous exciting global topics. It is of particularly great value now that I am a teacher at Multilingua Language School.

I focus on teaching in online classes, which means that everyone interested in learning English, regardless of the place of residence or work can easily participate in language studies. Today learning and teaching a foreign language has been made exciting by the possibility of using modern digital learning materials developed by the best British language learning centers. Digital study material allows you, among other things, to listen to audio files or watch videos of authentic everyday and business situations in an English-speaking environment online and thereby, easily acquire modern British English. I have acquired the digital learning methodology and use of digital tools on Oxford and Cambridge online courses and webinars.

I teach both communication and business language, I prepare students for Cambridge B2 First and C1 Advanced or IELTS exams. I consider the creation of a motivating, friendly, cheerful and mutually supportive learning environment in an online class important for both, language teaching and learning.

As an adult educator, I: 

• Identify the needs and expectations of the study group, plan the study objectives, learning outcomes, and training content; 

• base my approach on the learners’ needs and adapt learning stages or working methods as required; provide feedforward to learners;  

• continuously gather feedback from learners about the learning process; 

• engage in continuous professional development; update training content and teaching methods, revising and modernizing them as needed; 

• use relevant information and communication technology (ICT) tools (e.g., interactive smartboards, online platforms such as Zoom and/or Teams, ML information system, cloud services such as Google Drive and/or OneDrive, e-learning platforms, etc.) in the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of the teaching and learning process, as well as for supporting my own professional development.
