Maarit Alas

I caught the English bug as early as in my childhood. My love for foreign films and music created in me the desire to travel when I was very young. I gave the first language lessons when I was living in Madrid, Spain, when I began to practice what I had learned at TEFL teacher training – all this was enriching, exciting and very useful for a young teacher. I have studied tourism and hotel business at the Pärnu College of the University of Tartu, and it has been beneficial for business language training. As of today, I have been engaged in teaching for four bright and exciting years!
I have students in the best companies in Estonia, starting from lawyers all the way to architects. I have the experience of conducting both group lessons and individual lessons. A good sense of humor and common interests united us a lot, and from a number of courses I have also received invaluable friends.

In the classes, I always support students and encourage them to overcome their little fears – communicating and talking about topics of interest to them is ideal.

My interests are nature, travel, and music.
