Burak Yilmaz

Merhaba! 

My name is Burak Yilmaz. I was born in Istanbul. I graduated from Gazi University with a degree in Russian Language and Literature. After that I came to Estonia to study Russian and Slavic philology at the University of Tartu. I have been teaching Turkish and Russian languages on the basis of Russian, English and Estonian for 8 years. I have worked as a teacher and translator in various language schools and translation agencies, so I am familiar with the nuances of many languages. 

I have an interest in different languages and I am professionally involved in linguistics. I enjoy teaching languages and spending time with my learners. Our classes are friendly and cheerful, and we often don’t even notice the time passing. In our classes, we learn not only Turkish language, but also Turkish culture. We talk about songs, historical places, famous figures from Turkish history. 

I like to work with people who want to learn the language, communicate in it and expand their knowledge. I like to teach the language both in groups and individually. I think that each group and each person needs a personal approach. 

I welcome anyone who wants to learn one of the most interesting languages in the world. It is a language that has crossed the whole of Asia and established itself in the land where the earliest civilisations flourished.
