I graduated from Tallinn University with a BA and MA in Japanese Studies and Culture. During my studies, I achieved C1.2 level proficiency in Japanese.
During my master’s studies, we had the opportunity to experience teaching at university level as part of our teaching practice. We taught A2 level Japanese to undergraduate students in the programme, which left a strong impression on me and sparked my interest in language teaching.
Language studies and understanding a language provide a foundation for better understanding a culture. My own interest in Japanese culture also began with the language and the desire to understand it.
I am enthusiastic and open minded, and I believe that language learning should be both enjoyable and practical. Cooperation between the teacher and students is important in order to create a positive and motivating learning environment.
