- Maurizio D’Agapito
Maurizio D’Agapito is a singer and language teacher who has been introducing Estonians to Italian music, language, and culture since 2011. As a musician, he collaborated with Koit Toome and Laura Põldvere to create the Italian version of the song “Verona”, which took part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017. In his language lessons, Maurizio is open and lively, teaching the language organically and adapting conversation topics according to the learners’ interests. From the very first lesson, students begin actively communicating in Italian. As an Italian, he explains the temperament, lifestyle, and mindset typical of his culture, adding invaluable value to the learning experience.
Feedback from students:
“Maurizio truly wanted us to acquire Italian. He threw us straight into a practical Italian-speaking environment and taught us how to survive there with the basics.”

“In just 2 months I gained the vocabulary to form simple sentences and understand a bit of the language. It was great that we didn’t only learn the language but also got to know a lot about Italian culture. Maurizio is a good communicator, with a great sense of humor, patient and supportive.”
